Manic Monday

I'm sad.
So very sad.
I've had a bad day.
What a day I've had.

Go ahead; ask me why.
I won't cry.
Til the day is over
A smile I will try.

If you will just ask
About the task
Requiring me
To bask

In Sad.

I'm sad
So very sad
The day was bad

I want to hear
What ails you, dear
And bring you cheer

Cheer me on
From morning til noon
I'll tell my ails
I'll tell it soon

I miss my art
I miss my class
I miss my teacher
I miss him alas

I have his new number
I'll give him a call
We'll go out to dinner
We'll have a ball

Art is my love
With him I will chat
About color & shapes,
Van Gogh & finish matte

My sad will not last
My sad is not mine
You share in my sad
You helped me find
Happy

There’s enough good in the worst of us…And enough bad in the best of us…That it never behooves any of us to talk about the rest of us – Amy Grant

No idea why that quote just came to mind...but it did. There is no bad emotion - all emotion is amazing and it is GREAT!! It is the oposite when we shut down and feel numb that is so not living life. Sad is good. Bad days are good. You know why? Because we would never know when we had an amazing day or felt tremendous joy if we never had the opposite. So today - let's celebrate sad and bad days!!

I know I'm late to join in the rhyme,
but your poem describes the day I've just had!
So thanks for helping me feel sublime,
I'm sure that tomorrow will not be so bad!
