Early Morning Seminary
Does 4:30 a.m. really exist?
I guess I'll be learning the answer to this question soon enough. I was asked to substitute Bethany's seminary class for the month of May. Her teacher is going to England for several weeks with friends; hubby is staying home!
Anyhoo ~ I will be getting up at 4:30(ish) because I have to be at the church at 6:00 a.m. for the teachers devotional and prayer meeting. Not only do I have to be there at 6:00 a.m., I have to be dressed in Sunday clothes with a prepared lesson...every morning...5 days in a row...for 4 weeks...
I believe I start my sub assignment with the Lamentations of Jeremiah...how appropo! :)

You have to BE there at 6 AM? Do they even KNOW you?
LOL!!!!
They only know the "Sunday" me...Sis. Child. They do not, I repeat, do not, know Mic Josie "just-call-me Wilma" Pederson Child...
...but by the end of May, that will have changed! :)
Oh My Gosh! That is insane. 7:00 is too early for me. I don't know how on earth you are going to do that. You are a much better person than me. Rob is the bakery manager at Costco and has had many early mornings. Luckily as the manager he no longer has to get up that early.
Geez! That is a HUGE sacrifice! I can't imagine!!
Good luck...I'll be thinking/dreaming of you. My mom taught seminary for a long time - I could never do it. I have a hard time waking Bo up for seminary, & I go right back to sleep!
WOW! You are way better than me. I just drive my kids to seminary at 5:45, but I do it in my pajamas and glasses. Good luck.
Hi Micalanne - Love the new blog look! So glad I stopped by to see it.
What a brave woman you are to agree to sub seminary for a whole month! I taught seminary for one school year & wow - it challenging on so very many levels. God bless you!
Thanks for stopping by LaRae! I have missed reading your posts; I assumed it was because of all the activities your children were involved in at school with it being the end of the year.
Jobi you are so cute! You will surprise yourself with the things you will do for your children as they grow!
Joy, before Bethany drove, that was me too in jammies and bed-head hair! There is an unwritten law that makes it all okay to "drive-as-you-are" when it comes to seminary...
Sara, is Bo going to be able to get his license at 16 with this new law? Or will he have to wait until he is 18? It makes all the difference in the world when a child can drive themselves!
Jodi, would Rob brings any left-overs home from the bakery?! Yummy. I used to ask Bart to bring left-overs home from work when he worked for Bank of America. He never did...
I think you mis-understood me...I wake him up, then go back to sleep on the couch.(That makes it LOOK like I'm paying attention) Then, the bishop's wife picks him up. Except today - I forgot to set my alarm. As far as the new driving law, I haven't even looked in to it. I'd be happy with him waiting until 18. I'm not real comfortable with my 16 yr. old BOY driving around.
