Some Recent Funnies

1. A few days ago, after kneading some bread dough, I noticed that a certain shape was appearing due to the rhythm of the kneading. HaHa - I felt this shape was quite appropriate since I was baking the bread for my family - whom I love immensely!

2. I went to my Not-So-Favorite place - Costco - on Saturday to stock up on some necessities. I decided to get some really yummy steaks wrapped in bacon. After I brought my purchases into the kitchen, Lauren saw the steaks, picked them up and said, "You like my six-pack abs?" ;) HaHaHa LOVE that girls sense of humor!

3. Yesterday after church, we were all quietly minding our own business when I saw out of the corner of my eye something dash down the middle of our street; then several cop cars and an animal control truck quickly follow after it. My first thought was that it was a dog; and, how strange to have so many "officials" chasing a dog. I moved closer to the window to get a better view of what was going on. Then I saw a girl running down the street after the cop cars - with a camera in her hand trying to get a good picture of the dog. So very strange. I kept watching. Then I saw what kind of dog they were chasing - one the OINKS! It was a huge PIG! Of course I ran out to get a picture of this funny event; but the pig ran too FAST! HaHa! Who would've ever thought a Pig would be quick as lightning!

4. I was in the kitchen waiting for Cameron to come back into the house after helping Bart with the trash. He came in all right - yelling at the top of his lungs "Mom you've got to come see this; there's a thing outside - it looks like a possum. What do possums look like anyway?"

Who needs TV when you have Reality?

You have quite the adventerous life! When I 1st looked at the heart, I thought it was another chalk drawing...you're quite talented to make such a pretty heart by kneading bread dough! And the pig...too funny! George would have been right there with his shot gun. Did you know that there are wild pigs in the hills all around us? George has brought many home - not live ones, though! Tell Lauren I'm jealous of her six pack!

You are so funny! We just have wild baby cougars and deer that come into our neighborhoods. Yucaipa is quit the place to live I guess! Or maybe it is just wherever your family lives! You are crazy to go to Costco on a Saturday though. I have to admit, we love Costco. They pay for out house, car, food, etc...

Sara, why does George bring dead pigs home? Do you eat them?

Judy -
George likes to hunt...anything! He has brought home many wild pigs from the hills around us or a ranch up there. No, I do NOT eat them! He does, though. He'll take them & have them butchered. When I was pregnant with Kennedi, he had been hunting & I was not home when he returned. He put the wild pig's head next to the tree in our front yard & then left to take the rest to the butcher. I came home to a bloody head, covered in flies. He thought it'd be funny - to leave me his 'prize'. I was totally disgusted & gagging & I will NEVER eat the pigs he brings home, now!

I loooove the heart. Micalanne you are artistic even by accident. The six pack abs is pretty funny. That sounds like something Mark would have said. Oh, wait he would have been too distracted drooling over the meat to be making jokes. I mean bacon is his favorite vegetable. The steaks looked yummy.

Ah yes, oppossums...they have the most teeth of any mammal in the (world?)...over 50 razor sharp teeth. They are also not rodents but mammalian marsupials. Exciting, eh?!
